30th Reunion Meeting News

Reunion News

It's official! 8-9 June, 2002 at the Omni! Boys and girls, send in your invitation forms right away. Don't wait until the last minute. Don't stay home because you're shy. This is not about being successful or being thin. This is about revisiting old friends that remember you before you got a car. Sign up, show up, slow dance. And please, don't ask the DJ to play "Wichita Lineman."

The Omni Hotel is at:

Be there or be square

For those of us coming from out of town who might want to stay, or those of us coming from in town that won't be able to drive home, the price of the room for a king or two queens is $60.

DRESS CODE - Not Strictly Hawaiian

We've had some questions regarding dress for the evening event. After much discussion we (your committee) has decided to go "business casual" at the least. So ladies, you can dress up if you wish, or you can come a little bit more casual. Some of us are wearing cocktail dresses, some are wearing nice slacks or capri pants, and some are wearing sun dresses. For you guys, golf shirts and slacks are the preferred attire. If you want to wear a suit and tie, that's up to you. Some of the guys are wearing their best Hawaiian shirt with slacks.

For the welcome reception, you can wear whatever you want. And the Memorial Service on Sunday is casual. I hope this answers any questions about dress.

Download the invitations by right-clicking on the blue words below(crtl-click for the Mac). They're in PDF format - so you'll need the Adobe® Acrobat® Reader® to see them. If you don't know what the Adobe Acrobat Reader is, ask your kids. Or go down to 7-11, get a hazelnut coffee, and ask the people who come in until you get lucky.

The invitations

Call for memorabilia. We're trying to gather up memorabilia for the party, and the web site. If you have prom pictures, school papers, anything 70s oriented, pictures of people in funny clothes, contact Judy Bitner Barron and see if you can help her with the decorations.

Special Note for Students from Other Classes. You are all welcome to join us. Just follow these three easy steps: fill out an invitation, send in your money, and show up!

What's New on the Site? There has been a lot added to the Time Capsule, we think it might continue even after the reunion. It now includes the yearbooks from the 9th and 10th grade years.

At last count, there are six (6) marriages of partners from this class who are together now. Who says that high school romance doesn't last? (I say, but I say that nothing lasts.) Sadly, at least 5 of our classmates have passed away, and there are others we haven't found.

We'd like to know who has been married the most times, who has the most children, who has the oldest and youngest children, and any other interesting things you can tell us about your lives. The survey form is here.
