Well, ladies and gentlemen, our reunion is getting closer and closer. Thanks for everyone's hard work....it's all coming together. I continually hear of more people that are joining us.
Our next meeting is very important...so please try and make it. Thursday, April 18 at 11:00 am at Art's office. Kathy will pick up box lunches...turkey...unless you notify her differently. Debi is working diligently on the Sunday service. She's putting together a program along with Gary Green, Bruce Lester and Rocky Scofield. Beau continues to amaze me with all his website design. Mr. Treasurer, Rick, will have some totals for us. Judy, the babe, will work miracles with her $200 decorating budget. (Notice that the budget is going up.) Tom & Paul have done an exceptional job of getting our list together. Art, thanks for the use of your office and your staff. The invitations looked great. And Kathy...our delightful secretary is keeping us all informed with the mail outs and minutes. Also a word of encouragement for her being married to Jerry. (Ha Ha, just kidding Jerry) You guys make a great team. And thanks to Larry and Steve for their support.
I look forward to seeing all you in a few weeks. We should have a good head count by then, finalize our program, assign call duty, and assign some jobs for the day(s) and evening of the program.
Any questions, comments, let me know.

& Your Reunion Committee
Oct23 - Committee meets at Becky Howard Munnell's house. Discusses dates (26-28 April is first choice, 3-5 May is second), assignments, venues, schedule, and so on. Preliminary plans call for two kinds of activities - one that is for everybody and one that is optional. We didn't give them names, but it was almost like "sanctioned" and "non-sanctioned." For example, there was discussion of a Friday night wine-tasting, or Saturday morning golf --- both optional. There was discussion of a Saturday afternoon picnic with former teachers and members of other classes, and perhaps even children - for everybody. There was also discussion of a formal dinner event, with a program and live music, also for everybody. There was some discussion about the general budget guidelines, and it was agreed that the combination of the picnic and the formal dinner would be between $75 and $100. Other reunions seem to cost about $60 for a formal event, and that sometimes includes a couple of drinks. We don't want to create a new standard in expense, and intend to ensure that all classmates who want to attend do so, regardless of expense. A preliminary collection was taken up, and $200 was pledged to open an account.
Nov06 - The meeting was held at Art Troscher's club, which is one of the prospective sites. There was discussion about allowing people from other classes to join in our reunion, and the consensus was that this was a fine idea. No final decision has been made as to the date or the venue or the schedule of events yet. It was agreed that our most important goal is to get as many of our old friends together as possible - so we don't want to make any plans that prevent people from being able to join us.
Nov16 - Meeting to evaluate the Texas Safari as a possible site. The website is up, we need pictures, we're looking for the missing.
Nov 27 - Meeting at Art Troscher's office.
Dec 12 - Meeting at Art Troscher's office. We decided to shoot for 8 June 2002 at the Omni. The current plan calls for a welcome reception from 2-5, a formal dinner and dance from 730-midnight, and a memorial service the next morning.
6 Apr - Put out a call for memorabilia for decorations.
