Class Prophecy

(from the school paper in May of 72. Email complaints and typos)

In two days, the senior class will be out of high school; that is, most of them. But where will the class of 72 be in two years? Ten years? let's take a look at what has happened to the Senior of 72 in 82 ...

The most famous of all motorcycle races will be held in the Astrodome. Two of Alief's own seniors will be competing for the title of Mr Motorcyle Man. Yes, Mark Perry and Mark Alamo will be racing side by side. Beau Sharbrough finally had found a place large enough for his mouth as he will be announcing the results of the race.

Halftime entertainment was presented by Diane Dresing's own drill team, "The Sald Dressings." They were doing a routine to "Georgy Girl" when Diane's zipper broke. She was rushed to the nearby hospital where Nurse Paula Issinghoff and her assistant Cheryl Oxenrider quickly cross-stitched Diane's open wound.

As the ambulance rushed Diane back to the Astrodome there was a stop to all traffic as a man-search was being held.

It seems that Arthur Troscher's famouse race car, the Blue Bomb, was stolen and his mechanic, Bill Kleiber, was kidnapped. Police Chief Lee Menasco had only one clue to go by. Town drunk Dennis Rogers said he saw a carrot driving a '55 blue Chevy. This was unusual as Mr Rogers usually sees pink elephants.

Chief Menasco suggested that they go to the nearby carrot factory owned by Jeanie Petrosky Sout and her husband Pete, who also runs a pornographic book shop. As the police combed the carrot patch, they found the blue Chevy with Bill Kleiber asleep in the back seat. He slept through the chase.

Officers later found Jerry Woodward hiding between two carrots. Police Chief Menasco said the would have never found him if not for the white spaces between his freckles.

After the motorcycle races, everybody headed out for Atticks Dam, owned by Mark Atticks, for a rock festival. Talent from all corners of Alief made their appearance.

Bruce Leslie was first with his concert piano. Then Tommy Monk and his dancing monkeys made their debut. The audience went ape. Next Mike Cass and his son jack Cass did their famous father and son routine on their guitars. Kathy Elston and her marching band topped off the festival with "When the Saints go Marching In."

It was reported that businessman Dennis Anders and Playboy Bunnie Liz Johnson were seen together.

Well known surfer, Gary Green, was seen five years ago at the beach, Pipeline. Surfboard Shop owners Larry and Connie Laine reported hearing Gary's last words, a gasp of "Surf's up."

Mike Barrett would have gone with Gary, but onfortunately he was in jail. It seems that Mike was arrested. Luckily Mike had a good lawyer, Mike "Perry Mason" Sokoff, who got him off.

Mike Barrett now has a job playing for the Montreal Expos. All the Expos send their clothes to be cleaned at "Two for One" Cleaners. A topless cleaners owned and operated by partners Debbie Hassell and Becca Barrineau.

Andy Holley's florist, "Holley's Holly" is next door to the cleaners while Jan Bower's "Mama Mia's Exotic Clothes" is located next to Holley's Holly. A pink poodle parlor is next door to Mama's. This parlor is owned by famous poodle clipper Elsie (Pom Pom) Budewig.

Elsie got this job with a connection from her cousin, Mayor of Alief, Wanda Budewig. It seems that Wanda is mixed up in a scandal in hiring Steve Cox as new football coach; Steve Cox took over Byron Rushing's job. Mr Rushing was overheard saying, "She only did it because I flunked her in eco."

Mr Rushing now spends his time at Connie Harrison's "Oh-La-La" Club, where "bartendress" Nancy McGrath serves only Singapore Slings.

Speaking of Singapore Slings, Steve Peterson and Genero Prieto now make their home on the TX Flavia as the new stars, the Slinging Two. Bartender John Williams has invented a new drink called the "Chicago Shocker;" it's for girls only.

Rosalinda Guajardo has also made her home on the TX Flavia where she married one of the waiters. One of the newer additions of the Flavia is Shakey's Pizza Parlor, owned by Hester Rizer, with Pam Hailey as resident piano player.

Meanwhile back in Houston, KILT disc jockey John Straubinger announced Tom Russell was in the hospital due to horse bites. Tom fell in a horse trough. Lori Taber, life guard, then jumped in to save Tom.

Channel 13 News carried the event. Singing weather woman Terri "13" Ammerman covered this special event in place of her father.

Gary Wolff saw the whole thing as he was running his usual 45 miles a day. he stopped off at the neighborhood Jack-In-the-box to tell Mike Wintz, owner, the big news.

But instead, Doyle Dyer, employee, had bigger news. It seems that Doyle has finally gotten the break he has been waiting for. A raise of $2. He was so excited, he put a few balloons in the hamburgers, and the first woman orthodontist, Brenda Toepper, had a very busy day.

Sandra Ping, coach of the New York Mets, brought many of her team members in.

Many students no longer live in Alief. Chris Ferrell is now in Mississippi on her frog hatchery. According to Chris, there's nothing like a good croak in the morning.

In Florida, at the Miss Universe Pageant, Kathy Kruger was named Most Talented. She twirled 14 fire batons at once to the tune of "Light My Fire." In the audience, famous movie star Mark Frnka and noted journalist for Time Magazine, Becky Howard, were seen together. The audience knew right away they were the Texas Two and shouts of "TT! TT! TT!" rumbled through the building. Mark and Becky were escorted from the building by uniformed guards. The guards were led by Ricky Santerre.

Meanwhile, over in England, Sally Slomer discovered a cure for cancer. Unfortunately, Mitch Smith discovered the cure two years earlier. All he had to say was, "Eat your heart out."

In Italy, Bonni Maler, Sue Richard, and Debbie Costa opened the newest branch of Disney World. They spend most of their time sewing names onto the Mickey Mouse Ears.

In Hollywood at 35 years old, Scarlet Childers and Kenny Wooten are the new child stars of Sesame Street.

Judy Bitner, Julia Dulaney, and Nancy Smith are the cheerleaders at the "Old Fogey Fossil Home." The football team hasn't won a game yet, but they say the cheerleaders are by far the best.

Jon Strange was playing golf at the World Championship and hit one ball into Rex Stewart's "See Yourself" shop.

Sever Sekal said he could fix the shop in one day with his new computer "Hirom L Dumbell." But so far all Steve can get out of the computer is 2+2=5.

Jim Wilkerson, one to never give up, started on his trip to the moon in his helicopter. He was last seen on the beeper at NASA in Houston where woman astronaut Debbie Phipps relayed his last message -- Chop, chop.

Ricardo Alonso, famous for his dirty books, was fined for his latest story. It seemed that everyone was suing him for things said not to be true; the book is The Truth About the Alief Seniors of '72. In case anybody wants to buy it, it was taken of the market -- something about some wild trip ....
